It’s sleek, it’s sporty and it’s headed to our showroom. Introducing the 2019 Toyota RAV4! The new model first debuted in March at the 2018 New York Auto Show and is finally making its way to our showroom. This powerful crossover SUV has been redesigned for 2019 and features a variety of updates, including new powertrains. Best of all, the new RAV4 is headed to our showroom and is expected to arrive as early as winter 2018. While we wait for that release date we thought we would showcase all of the RAV4’s updates and new features here.
What are the 2019 Toyota RAV4’s specs?
For 2019, the RAV4 is wider with a slight increase in rear seat space. This is thanks to the new wheelbase and body. Overall, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 is 73 inches wide, 180.9 inches long and 66.9 inches tall. In contrast, the 2018 Toyota RAV4 is 72.6 inches wide, 181.1 inches long and 67.1 inches tall. Toyota has also upped the unibody chassis’ rigidity by 57 percent, increased the SUV’s ground clearance and incorporated an optimally tuned multi-link rear suspension.

Under the hood, the more powerful 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine with an 8-speed direct-shift automatic transmission provides a dynamic driving experience. The 2019 RAV4 is also available in a hybrid model with a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder Toyota Hybrid System II engine and an electric motor. In In fact, Toyota adds an all-new XSE Hybrid trim to the lineup for 2019.
In terms of features, the Toyota RAV4’s cabin gets a variety of updates and makes Wi-Fi Connect standard with the Entune 3.0 system. Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.0 suite of technologies is also now standard on all 2019 RAV4 models.
