2020 Toyota Camry TRD release date
The 2020 model-year is right around the corner and Toyota has a few special surprises on the way. These include the all-new, 2020 Toyota Camry and Avalon TRD models. This is the first time in recent memory that the automaker has given the TRD-treatment, or Toyota Racing Development, to the Camry or the Avalon. Speaking of which, when can you expect the official release date for these two new models to be?
Rest assured that you won’t have to wait too long to be able to get your hands on either of these new models. In fact, the 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD is set for a September 2019 release date and the 2020 Toyota Camry TRD will go on sale sometime this fall.
2020 Toyota Camry TRD vs. 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD
Aside from the Camry and the Avalon’s distinctions as very different sedans, the TRD package is expressed differently in each model. For example, the 2020 Toyota Camry TRD has two-toned paint, while the 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD has one solid color.

While neither sedan gets more engine power as part of the TRD package, both receive new brakes with larger rotors and dual-piston calipers, new springs that lower the sedans by 0.6 inches, underbody braces for increased torsional rigidity, stiffer shocks and a cat-back exhaust system.
Other distinctions between the two sedans can be found in the coloring and styling of the grille, rear spoiler and exterior details. That said, both the 2020 Avalon TRD and Camry TRD come with interiors packed with red detailing. There is red stitching, faux-suede inserts, red accents, red-hued dashboard lights and red seatbelts.
