At the heart of both the 2019 and 2018 RAV4 models is a powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Front-wheel drive is standard while all-wheel drive is optional. Hybrid models also receive the 2.5-liter engine paired with Toyota's Hybrid System powertrains with more power and stronger fuel economy figures for 2019.  

Speaking of the Hybrid model, Toyota has added an all-new XSE  trim for 2019. It's regarded as the sportiest RAV4 in the lineup and comes equipped with projector-beam LED headlamps, piano-black exterior accents and two-tone exterior paint options.
